Napoleonic Re-enactment
« on: November 14, 2009, 07:32:22 PM »
Hi just a line to advertise the 33rd Foot ,a high quality Napoleonic re-enactment group with a local cadre in West Yorkshire which attends events throughout the Uk and Europe.
If any one is interested in attending events as a spectator or perhaps joining as a recruit or camp follower the unit has a website
http://www.33rdfoot.co.uk
Or see me at HUGS night down the Albert,

I'm looking forward to going across to an 1812 period re-enactment in Ulster at a Georgian period theme park this coming summer.
Shooting at Irishmen dressed as Yanks, two for the price of one with one bullet. :)
As a friend remarked
"A bit like shooting a Vichy Frenchman." ;D

Just stumbled across this old thread. 33rd still going strong since last post and have a few more film and TV projects under their belts. The website at start of the thread is still going and the unit also has a Facebook site. We are still recruiting soldiers and campfollowers and have more Yorkshire based events projected over the remaining months of 2013.

Hoping for 40+ red coats in our ranks for Waterloo 200. Anyone wanting to attend this event with the 33rd (probably be the one of the mostt spectacular re-enactment events of a lifetime)  in June 2015 is advised to take the shilling ASAP so they can get drill and kit perfected in time.

God Save the King
