I find that "will be" slightly menacing.  Like in a "I found a reasonably priced sedative online and expect you to sleep through the entire trip" sense.

You needn't worry sir, it's only the kids in the back that cause the problems.  You'll be well out of earshot.

Just to confirm the following:

1. We meet at the grove at 12 to leave at 1pm - some folks will be in the cherry tree for breakfast from 11

2. Van will be 40 for hire and fuel and I will need this before we go so have cash with you

3. Hotel price info will be on the forum tonight and you will pay on arrival - so again have some way to pay or organise things with your room mates

4. That's it I think

Rooms will be aprox:

40 for each person in a quad room for the weekend (this may be 45, but I think not)

50 each for the three in a triple room for the weekend

75 each for the two people sharing a triple - i.e. Mike and Dave (sorry guys, its the only way it would work)

45 each for those sharing twin rooms

90 for the weekend for people going solo.

On one hand 75 sucks. On the other does this mean we have a spare bed with which to build a fort in our room?

Calling all in Quad Room B.
It's likely I'll arrive earlier than you lot unless I get stuck on the M1.
I'm happy to pay for the room on arrival and recoup the dough from you guys.
Or I can hang around and wait and we hammer details out then. Thoughts?

Feel free to go register at the nats and meet us later?

I'll message you my mobile number as the rooms will be in my name

Also, a question: would people be amiable to me bringing some of my games to play outside of the Nationals? I has Cards Against Humanity, Once Upon a Time, Munchkin (Legends and Original) and plenty of RPG goodness we can play.

There are theoretically game areas in the evening.  I think.  I've never actually seen them but I've never gone looking for them either.

If you do, it's probably best to stick to quick things.  You tend to get unpredictable periods of waiting 'cause games all finish at different times depending on how tired the GM is, how long the game ran or how good the players were at steamrolling the scenario.  Stuff that's easy to carry is kind of important an' all.  I'm not sure what people do at the hotels.  Downtime's sometimes a bit rare.

So it's a non committal shrug, I guess.

But hey, there were a few games of cards against humanity at the end of my Social Games category last year.  We were playing a board games category anyways, but it was a decent laugh.

Sounds like a plan. It's only a 20/30 min walk from campus so maybe let me know when you're close?
Still got your number unless you changed it recently.

Seedy is with me in the car.  Not on the Minibus.

I'm taking Seedy, Shannon, (Kat's friend) and Maria.

I've got Megan (from Wales) bunking with Eleanor and I.  Room rates are per room not per person right?

Room rates yes

Actually that works out ok, you can have a three person room that Mike and Dave are in, and they can have your twin room so you can avoid a shouting at for not telling me sooner.

I prefer that idea as I was shocked to read I would have to pay 75 not 40 for the hotel, I'm not exactly solvent at the moment being on benefits and 35 is a lot of money.
I'll be down at Cherry Tree Mike for breakfast & Pint you know it.

People drop out, and people want to make special arrangements - and then people change arrangements without telling me after I spend a lot of time and stress trying to balance numbers.

In this case it seems to have worked out, no doubt it will be fucked on the day.

Sorry if it sounded like I was having a go at arrangements, I know it's not the easiest of jobs for you to organise and I appreciate all the work. I'm glad that it's sorted now because nothing would have made me happy about paying 35 more than everyone else. :D

Just seen the choice too, can't believe I got my third choice gutted :'( might have to steal Chris D's A&A place on Sunday since he's apparently GMing, I need my A&A safety blanket :D
