DRAMATIS PERSONAE

Eduardo Skuza
Merchant and Pelosian numare, fallen upon hard times.
Pampered and unworldly, Eduardo has never before lead a caravan himself.

Vitus Leale
Apparently the very opposite of his master, Vitus is a burly, practical, and no-nonscence Pelosian caravan master.
Only he has remained with Eduardo throughout the 'difficulties' that have beset the Villa Skuza.

Geru
Slow, ancient, crooked, and white-bearded, Geru is the long suffering, rather elderly manservant of Eduardo Skuza. An extremely unassuming fellow, Geru's voice rarely raises above a mumble. He attends to Eduardo's constant needs on the road, usually at an ambling, shuffling pace. After a recent 'incident' he shall not speak of, he has taken pains to repeatedly point out to the group how poor both his eyesight and hearing, and memory are... So perhaps he is not quite so slow-witted as he first appears.

Corbie Man
Shaman of the Two-Faced Corbie tribe, guide to the Caves of the Dead.
His true name taken by the Great Corbie, Sui Marbh to the land of the dead, he has no other.
A little strange/unworldly. Maybe he just smokes too much shadow moss.

[EDIT: Okay lets try this again.... ]

Fergach Tuamór
Hutzaxe-wielding Dummonii partisan, who killed the Pelosian prisoner.
A big man with an attitude problem - although his companions don't seem to mind.
Had a grim exchange with Valerus as he passed... "Any time, naul. Any time..."

Slattero
Acolyte of the Order of Mazaraina,
Medicus and Confessor to Ser Fedenzo.

(Deceased)

Ser Castus Fedenzo,
Knight-Proscriptor of Mazarantiom

Arrayed in a magnificant suit of Pelo's Plate, bedecked with holy icons and protective scripture... Sadly, its power did not protect him from the greatswords of charging naked Hutzlunrs and the dashing pointy swords of bajo.

Serves him right for trying to 'purify' Drazar XD

Feel sorry for the kid though. Fighting a guy in armour who's trying to kill a friend is one thing, murdering a young man who was witness to it is quite another.

Well the deaths in general were sad as I tried to avoid the crazy man, the death of the child even more regrettable but sadly pelosians happened haha... It will be interesting to see how people will react around Drazar since most people should know what he is now XD

Thawgrim the Difficult
Warlord, Madman, Avowed Future King of Hutzlun

Seen here at one of his favourite passtimes (burning things), Thawgrim is a man of whom many things are said. Most of those things imply or outright claim that he is insane. There's no doubt he is a successful warlord, serving under the Great Malatesta until the infamous 'king of sellswords' was executed in Mazarantiom this summer, but he is renowned for doing things the hard way, as well as being contrary, capricious, traitorous, and unpredictable. Despite this, in the wake of Malatesta's death he is one of the great mercenary captains of the boarder, with an army of Hutzlunrs at his back and half a dozen 'Story Men' (Hutzlunrs of great renown) in his retinue.

Rumours say that he is down south looking for the so-called Impenetrable Shirt (lost icon of the Hutzlun Kings; a hauberk of skystone said to make its ruler invulnerable), that he has three wives, or daughters, or daughter-wives, that are powerful witches; that he had his brother murdered, and the soul bound into his axe; that he's claimed vengeance upon men who saved his life, but laughed in the face of assassins and showered them with gifts. He definitely has a reputation for cruelty, loving nothing more than hangings, impalement, and fights to the death to accompany his feasts.

Its not all bad however: The Sisters of the Grey Hospice once relieved him of terrible gout in his left foot, and as such are under his protection - having famously told his men they may do as they please "but whatever you stick into those nuns will get stuck into you right after."

Thawgrim's mobile headquarters is a ship, the Ravished Succubus, to which great wheels have been attached, and which he often forces prisoners to haul about the Margomarissi like yoked homorn.

Two not especially jolly fellows. Certainly a-typical of the Axe and Lamp's usual clientele, they have no apparent interest in scurvy-defying platters of food, nor in the sport of Pelosian fighting moles...

 The Concerned Banker

A thin, wan and bloodless-looking  fellow, the Concerned Banker's manner occillates smoothly between the sinisterly confident and the obsequeusly servile. He wears the dark, not-quite black robes of a mercantile bureaucrat, embroidered with the sword and balance scales heraldry of the Banking House of Scatora d'Oro. Neither too poor nor too sumptuous, its dress marks him as a servant - but one used to dealing with numare and other well to do folks.

The Banker's Shadow

Silent shadow of the Concerned Banker, the brutish man with one bloodshot eye seems to consider himself a vraag among herba - at least judging by the way he moves carefully but forcefully through the crowd. Serious but not hostile, yet there's something vaguely unpleasant about the way his features knit together. When asked who might you be? he replied: "Reliable"

After asking gruffly if everything was paying attention, he has retreated smoothly to his comrade's back.

Silverpiece
Dirgist in Red

"They called me Silverpiece, that seems good enough... I'm a traveller, been mostly everywhere. Some places I'm called a fiddler, minstrel, or skald. But in this bloody land, I'm only ever a dirgist."

Ageing itinerant, of middle age and indeterminate race. Dresses in travel-stained red, carries a fiddle and walks with a cane. Says he took no part in the slaughter, but doesn't bat an eyelid at all the blood. Told you about the girl in the well though. Pleasant enough company on the road, until he tipped his hat and went off to sing laments to a band of crestfallen gonfalonieres, weeping pitiously at their utter defeat,

He sings songs like this.
And this.
And this.

Patros Scaramuza
Patriarch of Tuthom-Pothrie

Scaramuza is Patros ('holy father') of Tuthom-Pothrie, the 'Town Divided', and by extension this whole stretch of the border - including the Dummonii side of the river. Part of the triumvirate that maintains the independence and prosperity of Tuthom-Pothrie, he is regarded as moderate and diplomatic by most locals... or lightweight and ineffectual, if you are a Pelosian hardliner. Certainly his tenure has seen the presence of Harmosti (fearsome 'occupation legions') severely reduced, much to the chagrin of those in favour of more aggressive action against insurgents and rebels.

As well as his administrative duties, Scaramuza is charged with spreading the faith north of the border. Missionaries have little success beyond the river, but the Patros insists that the more Dummonii come to his town peacably, the more converts Pelo will eventually gain.

Whatever his personal politics , Scaramuza is but one Patros of the Temple of Pelo, and must of course answer to his ecclesiastical superior, the Legatus of Mazarantiom, based in his sect's basilica and namesake city, at the far western end of the Margomarissi.
