It is perhaps a quarter turning in all before a pretty blonde woman wearing the robes of a scholar arrives and walks over to the table to sit opposite Pio and Hakim.

pretty blonde

<nods to both> I'm Kisha, Alric says you want to discuss something with me?

Pio speaks in low tones for quite some time then sits back.

Kisha

<listens intently to everything Pio says> ahh I see, very interesting! <smiles brightly> Just the sort of conspiracy story I like! <leans forwards to say something else in quieter tone>

Pio speaks a gain in low tone ending with a shrug.

Kisha

<smiles> Oh no! please don't mistake me, I'm completely sure that the reasons for your suspension are soon to be overturned, and I'm very impressed with your continued devotion to duty even given those unfortunate circumstances!

But the thing is, nice as the story you've told me is, I wouldn't want to be lax myself by talking to someone inappropriately about the situation you allege.

I mean to say.. If Lethean had in some way been involved and had something such as that, then we wouldn't want to be passing it on to anyone now would we? I mean after all our Ward Koryphian is the Matrine Solux and Cernau her Arbiter... and I think it was failing to obey his orders that got you suspended wasn't it?

...anyway I'm sure you see our problem?

Kisha

<still smiling, listens politely> ...you make an convincing case Tremallu.. though strangely at odds with your reputation for dealing harshly with the shadow cartels in the past.. I wonder if survivors of the burning of the Katafuego in the Dreamer's ward during the raid you led three years ago would agree..

<pauses for a few seconds> Anyway what you ask is not mine to give, but you do seem genuine... <pauses again then nods> ...so I will speak with the Vinco on your behalf and see if she will agree to discuss the matter with you.

<stands up> No promises though Tremallu ...and I suggest you have all points you feel may confirm your case ready.

<nods to both> Someone will be in touch.

After a brief conversation between Pio and Hakim, both Pio and Hakim get up from the table, head over to the door and out of the Silver Skrite.

...a day or so later, a little before first ten turnings...

The small taproom of the Skrite is fairly packed with stevedores, canard folk, (and a few of the local umbruc), and the place is abuzz with conversation regarding the forthcoming Koryph meeting at the Plaza. Seems many here are curious or suspicious as to what will be said, but for one reason or another have decided against attending in person, waiting instead for news from the not to distant plaza to make its way here instead...
