Just to remind everyone that the minbus for the nationals will be picking up outside the Grove pub in Springwood Carpark at 9.30am for  a 10am departure.

Please note if you are not on the bus at the time, it will be leaving without you.

Estimated arrival time in Cardiff is around 3pm.

Pack light as you will probably have to carry your stuff on your lap all the way there.

Link to the location of collection is:
HD1 4BP, Huddersfield, Kirklees

Additionally, if you know someone who is going to the nationals, but may not have seen this message, please advise them of these details. In fact, tell them even if they might not be going.

Cheers

Just an advanced warning - people may be asked to pay another 5 towards fuel costs, numbers have shifted slightly and fuel has gone up a lot in recent weeks since I first did the costings.

I may have to set off quite late (as in, after 11pm), due to my job in catering and someone having recently quit.  This really rather sucks, and leaves me in a fairly unfortunate position of knowing only that my ETA in Cardiff is likely to be around 2am.  Anyway, am I likely to be able to check in at the hotel that late?

Say, silly question, has the cost of parking at the hotel been covered too?
I didn't know those guys charged.
I can still tend the rabbits, George?

OK, never mind; it looks more like an early morning than late night trip - by the time I finish work, the last train will have departed.

Well, I can either get on a train from Manchester to Chester at half midnight, wait three hours once I get there and arrive in Cardiff at around ten to eight, or I can get a train at around ten past five in the morning and get there around ten to nine.  The first one is probably the best one, as that involves far less waiting around overall - three hours in Chester as opposed to probably five hours in Manchester.  It also gives me time for breakfast, and some chance at least to sleep on the train.
