So, anyone got any thoughts on how to pull this one off?

I have made my position very clear. I feel that this action is beyond extreme. We have intel that indicates that the device may cause more than pacification, it may indeed, bring about the extinction of the Krogan race! I do not feel that we can allow this to happen.

Kip, I understand your position; for a doctor to be involved in this, it goes against all of your oaths of office. I know that I offered every member of the team the ability to make up their own minds on this, but I mean it when I say that you have the greatest ability of all of us to change the outcome of this mission. Accepting the mission will give us some time and some control. Time enough, perhaps, to find out the truth about these Krogan mercenary attacks and find another, less final, solution. If that doesn't work, then perhaps finding a way to dilute or even nullify the pathogen may provide an answer.

However, we must entertain the possibility that we may have to let this cat out of the bag, either in a diluted form or at full potency. If this happens, as mission commander (for now), I will assume that particular responsibility. The council are right, the Krogan are too dangerous and warlike to be allowed to roam unchecked. But this is not the way. If the council step over this line, there is no going back, and the potential repercussions for any race that does not conform to the Council's mandate is bleak.

I think we should take the mission, try what we can to change things up, but only activate the device as a true last resort. I would like to have the team as a whole on this one, but I can also see the advantages of some of us working on the outside to solve this problem. If you want to wash your hands altogether, then you have my blessing to do so. But be warned; we have have reason to believe that the Council have already moved to silence those who might expose this plot, and if you opt out, they may decide you know too much as well...

Passcode Accepted. Welcome, Brutus

Message from: Lt. Jack Wieczko.
Location: Omega, Public Terminal 143

Arrived on Omega about SSV Independence, approximately 24 hours behind the Heart of Gold. Independence suffered minor damage while fighting a stowaway; lethal force was required due to the ability and equipment of the intruder. Damage was repaired by the engineering crew upon arrival at Omega.

Current Status: Possible location of the ambassador known based on witness statements from Dock officials, further leads being followed by other members of the team. Local C-Sec has been contacted and, although stretched, we have tapped into their resources for the time being (for the moment, their needs parallel our own). SSV currently docked with Omega finishing repairs. Current orders are to leave dock as soon as able under the command of Captain Rourke, and maintain station in the asteroid field (thereby reducing the potential of damage or hijack in port).

Will contact you when further information is gathered.

Personnel Evaluation:

Lt. Wieczko has proven himself in some of the most fierce fighting encountered on Earth in the last decade, fighting insurgents in Operations Mountain Path and Mountain Shield. Indeed, Lt. Wieczko showed both natural command and tactical abilities, as well as an undefined ability to be in the best position at the required time, or – in at least one situation – showing an ability to turn an inferior defensive force into an offensive force with unexpected effectiveness. However, mission reports from the Shanxi Bloackade and subsequent psych reports indicated that Lt. Wieczko has grown overconfident in both his abilities and those of his men; a trait which, while ensuring that assigned mission on Shanxi was completed successfully, resulted in an unacceptable casualty rate within his unit. Due to this, Lt. Wieczko was re-assigned to a non-combat role until additional evaluation and correctional training can be arranged.

What would you like to do, General?

Confirmed, file forwarded to Edward Michaels, Station Chief, Systems Alliance Embassy, The Citadel.

Although no games will be organised feel free to bring down your own board games or one-shot RPGs if you want!

The Social will be starting at 1pm on Sunday, September 30th at the Rat and Ratchet, Chapel Hill, Huddersfield. Any other questions, feel free to contact me here or by PM!

I was planning on organising a trip to see Dredd around Fresher's Week, but if people want to go earlier, I can organise a trip to coincide with Doc's? What do people fancy?

Camorr / Re: Information for Prospective Players
« on: August 10, 2012, 01:29:57 PM »

The dominant religion of Camorri and most of the former Therin Throne states is a pantheon religion, comprising twelve gods (or thirteen, depending on who you talk to), each ruling over a particular facet of Camorri life. Each of the Twelve Gods has a large temple in the Temple District, overseen by priests and places where worshipers can gather. These gods are:

Iono: Lord of the Grasping Waters, Stormbringer (God of the Sea)
Aza Guilla: Lady of the Long Silence, the Lady Most Kind (Goddess of Death)
Gandolo: Father of Opportunities, Lord of Coin and Commerce
Morgante: The City Father, Lord of Noose and Trowel
Callo Androno: Eyes-on-the-Crossroads, God of Travel, Languages and Lore
Perelandro: Father of Mercies, Lord of the Overlooked
Nara: Plague Mistress, Lady of Ubiquitous Maladies

The following gods/godesses have been named, but their purview hasn't been clarified. If you can think of what they can rule over, I'll consider allowing initiates of them. There are also two gods who aren't mentioned, and the same applies.

Dama Elliza

And last, but not least, the God worshiped in secret, believed to not exist by most Camorri and whose worship is punishable by hanging:

The Nameless Thirteenth: The Crooked Warden, the Benefactor, the Thiefwatcher, Father of Necessary Pretexts.

There is also the Vadran religion, based around the "Seven Holy Marrows", the deified rivers that flow through their homeland. They too have a temple in the Temple District.

Any players can play either a Vadran or a Therin initiate, however, if you want to play an initiate or priest of one of the 'unknown' gods, you'll need to contact me to help work out the religious set-up and flavour.
